Chloë Ashby is a writer and editor. Since graduating from the Courtauld Institute of Art, she has written about art and culture for publications such as the TLS, Guardian, FT Life & Arts, Spectator, Apollo and frieze. She has interviewed artist Judy Chicago, novelist Ottessa Moshfegh, photographer Tim Walker and fashion designer Christian Louboutin, among others. She frequently reviews exhibitions and books.

A former editor at Monocle, she has written and edited guides to cities from Chicago to Seoul, and project managed bigger books on subjects such as hospitality and retail. She is also the author of two art books. Her short fiction has appeared in The London Magazine and The Fairlight Book of Short Stories. Wet Paint (2022) is her first novel.
