What is this book about?
Carving out time to nurture your emotional self has never been more important.
Social media and relentlessly updating news feeds overwhelm the nervous system and compound the grief, uncertainty and anxiety we are all experiencing. Beyond being emotionally exhausting, this stress response that our body is constantly producing is dangerous to our health in the long term. We need simple ways to lift us out and pull us through, which will help soothe us not just in the hard times but will also keep us nourished in our “normal” life too.
Finding Peace in Difficult Times will offer you:
• Easy, everyday tools to optimize your wellbeing when things are fine, but also bring immediate relief in distressing moments
• Specific breathing techniques for calming anxiety, easing tension and quieting your mind to be able to sleep at night
• Ideas for how to deepen your self-compassion and meditation practices to promote lasting healing and hope
